Light Roasting
Light roast is not just the light color but has little to no oil on the surface. Since the beans are not roasted long enough to let the oils out, it usually has the brightest and naturally occurring notes of the bean’s origins.

Medium Roasting
Medium roast is one of the most preferred with its darker color, a bit stronger flavor and non-oily surface. Since the beans are only roasted a bit longer it has a well-rounded flavor, aroma, and acidity which many consider sweeter than the lightly roasted.

Dark Roasting
Dark roast on general is bolder in notes with deep rich flavor coming from the roast process. Super shiny black color with oil swirling on the surface, though it has a significant bitterness. Most of the bean’s origins flavor is gone due to the roast process.
